Leadpages has a pretty cool feature that allows you to filter landing page templates by conversion rate. This way, you will choose a prototype that has a proven track record of effectiveness.

Remember that the tool has over 43,000 users. That means there's a lot of data to work with. Furthermore, the company has been in service for many years. It was founded in 2012. As a result, you should be assured that the platform's mathematical analysis is right. Leadpages, on the other hand, would not provide you with raw conversion data for each design.

If you want to know the real conversion rate, how long people have been using the template, or the standard deviation, you're out of luck. Bear in mind that users can personalize their landing pages. They have their own copy as well as photos. These elements can have a greater impact on conversion rates than the architecture.

6. The availability two type of editors


The standard editor and the drag-and-drop editor are both available with Leadpages. Until 2016, the basic editor was the only editor available on the website. Leadpages launched the drag-and-drop editor at the point. The majority of the models are customized using the regular editor. It's simple to use, but it's limited in terms of versatility.

Widgets, for example, cannot be moved. Furthermore, you are not permitted to incorporate elements (but you can hide them).  

So, if you try to use a blueprint as a starting point and radically change it, you actually won't be able to do so with the regular editor. The default editor also finds it impossible to match your own branding to the landing page. That is obviously a significant limitation. Here are few examples of what you can do with the basic editor: 

  • Modify the document font and verbiage. 
  • Change the colors of the elements
  • Replace pictures 
  • Video embedding 
  • Adjust the background picture. 
  • Incorporate a connection 

The drag-and-drop editor, on the other hand, has greater usability. Unfortunately, it is a little clumsy. To begin, you must get the target of your "fall" just right. Otherwise, the element would land in the incorrect spot.

Unfortunately, the Leadpages UI makes it possible to forget the correct location. Also, depending on where you put elements, their size will change. To make matters worse, you can't adjust the scale of the elements after the fact. Here are few examples of what you can do with the drag-and-drop editor: 

  • You can do something with the basic editor.
  • Insert a widget (such as a progress bar, icon, headline, text, comment, countdown, image, video, space, form, line, HTML element, or calendar) 
  • Swap out widgets

What you can't do with the drag-and-drop editor is as follows: 

  • Split-testing is a term used to describe the method of testing (yes, really) 
  • Widgets can be resized (most of the time) 
  • Widgets that overlap 
  • Include a parallax history. 
  • Have headline marks (H1, H2, etc.) 
  • Using a picture gallery. 
  • Additional fonts should be uploaded. 
  • Organize widgets 
  • Include advanced fields such as gender, birth date, and so on. 


7. The slit testing or the A/B Testing


Leadpages, as previously said, supports split-testing. With a tool built to optimize conversions, this is a must. The platform employs the traditional A/B research methodology. It helps you to compare various iterations of your landing page or popup to see which one gets the most clicks.

However, there are several caveats. For examples, split-testing is only possible in the regular editor. It is not compatible with the drag-and-drop editor. That is very worrying. Furthermore, the lowest standard of operation does not even have split-testing. So, if you want the "cheap" option, you'll have to find some way to test your landing pages or popups.


8. Leadboxes 


Leadboxes are opt-in modes of a call to action (CTA). You can create a Leadbox that is allowed by a simple button press. You may also use one to initiate a two-step opt-in process for your email distribution list. Leadboxes can be conveniently built using the platform. However, you are limited in terms of styling choices. In reality, there is only one kind of Leadbox design.

9. Leaddigits 


Are you involved in SMS marketing? If so, you'll probably enjoy Leaddigits. You may use this function to grab emails in the form of a text message. This is how it works: A prospect sends a simple phrase via text message to a five-digit phone number. The platform responds by texting the user and requesting an email address.

The prospect answers by offering his or her email address (ideally). Here's an example of how you could do it in real life: pretend you're at a meeting. You have a booth where you meet a lot of people and talk about your business. Obviously, asking any of those prospects for their email addresses on the fly would be impossible.

Instead, you hang a sign at your booth dangling a carrot in front of your best prospects. That sign might say something like, "Get Your Free 15-Point Guide to SEO in 2019!" Discover what the pros do that you don't! SMS the word SEOSECRETS to 43434.” When the prospects see this, they text "SEOSECRETS" to 43434.

They will get a message asking for the email address where they want to receive a connection to the PDF document containing the useful information. Of course, you'll add their email address to the distribution list until they have it. It is a “out of the box” approach to producing further leads. It's much less intrusive than the popups that now appear on virtually every digital marketing website. 

10. Leadlinks

Leadlinks make it easier to improve the conversion efficiency. They are exclusive connections that you use in a mass email. Users are immediately “converted” when they click on the page. Assume you have a Leadlink in an email so that people can sign up for your upcoming webinar. When recipients click on the page, they are immediately subscribed. There is no need for further action.

However, keep in mind that Leadlinks cannot be used for the 1ShoppingCart or AWeber networks. Their terms of service exclude it. 


11. Pricing for Leadpages 


Leadpages, like most marketing platforms, charges a monthly fee. The price varies from $25 to $199, based on the quality of service desired. That is based on the annual billing rate.

If you want to spend on a monthly basis, it would cost you at least $37 per month. Split-testing is not even possible at the most limited stage of operation. As a result, the investment is unlikely to be worthwhile. The next standard of operation, which costs $48 a month, does include A/B checking. However, specialized integrations of tools such as Marketo and Salesforce are not supported. Leadpages has a free trial period.

Conclusion


I'll wrap up this Leadpages analysis with a rundown of the platform's pros and cons. 


Advantages: 


Simple to use. The learning curve is short. 

It saves time. This is because building a landing page with GUI is much simpler than with raw HTML. 

Lovely templates. Although some of the models are limited in their simplicity, they are really good right out of the box.

Sorting is easy. Leadpages allows you to sort landing pages based on conversion rate. That means you could come up with a winning idea in a matter of minutes. 

Incorporations The tool is compatible with a wide range of common marketing platforms. 


Cons: 

Not so adaptable. You're out of luck if you try to make major improvements to any of the models. 

Design choices are limited. It can be difficult to create a landing page that suits the branding. 

There are obvious glitches. Any tool has a weakness. Leadpages' glitches seem to be more apparent than on other websites. 

The price is high. You don't get anything for your money.

Awful user interface. Don't be shocked if the user interface irritates you. While it is simple to understand, it does not always answer in the way you expect. 

Finally, I'd say that, before you spend some money on Leadpages, you can certainly take advantage of the free trial offer. You would almost definitely run into some of the issues I've mentioned here.

Nonetheless, the app has over 40,000 customers. So there are some people who like it.
